Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is a 2011 action fantasy adventure film from Disney and the fourth sequel if the Pirates of the Caribbean series. The film was based from the novel of Tim Powers titled On Stranger Tides and was under the direction of Rob Marshall and was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Jerry Bruckheimer Films was the studio that created the fantasy film and was distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It earned its box office hit by gaining a total gorss revenue of $1,039,041,782 from the budget of $150-$250 million worldwide.
The plot of the film focused on another adventure of the well-known pirate jack Sparrow in search of the fountain of youth where he met again Angelica who turned out to be the long lost daughter of the ruthless Blackbeard.
The main characters of the film were portrayed by the cast ensemble including Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Penélope Cruz as Angelica, Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa, Ian McShane as Edward "Blackbeard" Teach, Kevin McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, Sam Claflin as Philip Swift, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Syrena. Other supporting casts were Greg Ellis as Lt. Cmdr. Theodore Groves, Damian O'Hare as Lieutenant Gillette, Stephen Graham as Scrum, Óscar Jaenada as The Spaniard, King Ferdinand's most trusted agent, Gemma Ward as Tamara, Queen of the Mermaids, Richard Griffiths as King George II of Great Britain, Keith Richards as Captain Teague, and Sebastian Armesto as King Ferdinand of the Spanish Empire.
