The film Little Mermaid III - Ariel's Beginning is the third film and pre-sequel of the original 1989 Disney animated film The Little Mermaid.
The plot of the film revolves years ago from the plot of the original 1989 film. During this time, all music was banned of the kingdom of Atlantica by King Triton after his wife died from a tragic accident. Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter being so oriented and ilnlove with music challenged to break this absolute law that was created by her father.
The main characters in this animated film was voiced by Jodi Benson as Princess Ariel, Sally Field as Marina Del Rey, Samuel E. Wright as Sebastian, Jim Cummings as King Triton, Parker Goris as Flounder the fish, Lorelei Hill Butters as Queen Athena. Other voice actor and actresses were Kari Wahlgren, Jennifer Hale, Grey Delisle, Tara Strong, Jeff Bennett, Andrea Robinson, Rob Paulsen, and Kevin Michael Richardson.
The film was released by Walt Disney Studios last August of 2008 and firmly stated that it is an independent instalment of the Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
