Marmaduke is a 2010 20th Century Fox film adaptation of a comic strip written by Brad Anderson. The film was released June of 2010 having the grossed income of $78,081,845 and was directed by Tom Dey.
The film concentrated in the adventures of Marmaduke, a Great Dane who lives in the rural state of Kansas. They have to however transfer in California because his owner was re-stationed there for his job at a dog food factory. Upon living in California, Marmaduke met new dogs and since he was from Kansas, he had a hard time adjusting with the new environment and also wining the heart of his love interest.
The main cast in the film was voiced by Owen Wilson as Marmaduke, George Lopez who voiced Maramduke’s Balinese cat friend Carlos. Other casts who voiced in the film were Lee Pace, Black Eye Peas’ Fergie, Kiefer Sutherland, Sam Elliot, Heather Doerksem, Michael Teigen, Glen McCuen, and Christopher Attadia.
The film received several negative reviews from critics because of its lack of meaningful content and lacks humour. It was also a disappointment for the sudio who created Marmaduke for landing sixth place on its opening day since it is rather odd fro animal live action comedy genre movies to rank that way. It earned a gross income of $78,081,845 worldwide from the budget of $50 million.
